Roselle Borough Council Members Donate Face Masks to Washington Elementary School Students

Supporting the school district in any way has always been a top priority for Roselle Mayor Donald Shaw and the Borough Council. A recent donation of face masks from Fourth Ward Councilwoman Cindy Thomas and Council President Denise Wilkerson is in line with this sentiment.

More than 2,000 disposable face masks were hand-delivered to Washington Elementary School Principal Marianne Tankard this morning, Feb. 2, 2022.

“I am proud to be a part of this community for more than 24 years and being able to support the school that my children went to warms my heart,” said Councilwoman Thomas. “We are one community and the Borough Council is always looking for ways to support.”
Mayor Shaw echoed Councilwoman Thomas’s sentiments about support, adding that “the fight against COVID-19 is not over and teamwork with the school community is our strongest defense. We are stronger together.”
